That said best of luck with the setup I did it for a year and I regret not just going with a vive from the start would have saved a ton of money and time. Also not uncommon for steam VR updates to break the setup until the tools get updated which thankfully was always fast. The calibration tool only works so well but expect your body to randomly fly away even when standing still or tracking to get lost when you move fast. The tracking for this setup is already awful as it is given you’re merging two vr environments. Let me know if this was helpful and if you need help you can contact me kn discord: DAAN#2269ĭon’t bother with the one base station method. I also recommend installing openvr advanced settings: Sometimes it can get a bit of but then just recalibrate it, it isn't much work. Once your done it set and it will save the profile. Once opening it you should grab one of your touch controllers and stick one tracker to it like its glued to it and press start calibration(make sure you got the right devices selected) try to make like eight while swinging you're controller to the air so it can be calibrated better. this little tool calibrate your vive trackers because there isn't a hmd so they know there location. Once that is done I recommend to restart your pc/laptop. You first of all go to here: steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\resources\settings\default.vrsettings and change this: "requireHmd": false, Avatar and World requests must go in green pinned posts.įollow Reddit's Content Policy Official Links:įeature Requests & Bug Reports Community:.Posts by users exceeding once per day are subject to removal at moderator discretion.Self promotion of content hosted outside of Reddit (YouTube channel, Twitch, Instagram, etc) limited to once per month if active on the subreddit (specifically comments) and once per three months if not.Do not use this subreddit to question moderation of another social platform.
